Downloadable Word Templates 1

We have created two templates for you to download. These templates are based on an A5 Order of Service booklet as this is the most common size. We have created both a 4 page and 8 page booklets.

Please note that Orders of Service are printed double sided and therefore page order will follow one of the below layouts.

These are Microsoft Word 97-2003 Documents (.doc) and can be opened in Word and OpenOffice. If you have placed an Order of Service order with us please DO NOT use these documents to word your Order of Service. Your Order of Service will be type-set by ourselves using the relevant page size and typeface. Please type your wording at as one continuous document.

DIY - Do it Yourself Orders of Service

You may want to create your own Order of Service, I recommend printing your Order of Service on rough/scrap paper first to ensure that you have the pages in the correct order. Once printed you will need to attach the inserts to your card. You might want to make your own card outer by printing your own design on a sheet of card and then folding the design in half. Alternatively you can purchase card blanks. Card blanks are sheets of card which are pre-scored for ease of folding. They come in a variety of designs and some have foiled captions on the front. If you are folding your own cards I recommend a card creaser.

Attaching Your Insert to the Outer Card

For a 4 page Order of Service I recommend double sided tape or an adhesive roller to stick the paper to the card. I recommend first folding the insert in half. Then putting a strip of double sided tape on the last page. Then press the page down on to the inside of the card. Top Tip: Only place double sided tape on one side. You do not need to glue both sides down.

For a 8 page Order of Service I recommend using ribbon to attach the insert. You can use staples but it can be difficult to get a good finish. Using ribbon makes the design more attractive and holds the pages in securely. You can also use ribbon on a 4 page page layout as well. To attach wrap a length of ribbon round both inserts and the outer cover, then knot. To finish either add another knot or create a bow. Then trim off any excess ribbon.
