Winter Wedding Invites

From snowflake covered wedding invitations to elegant pale blue and silver designs. Winter wedding invitations add an unusual twist to your wedding.

You can choose fun and quirky designs to create a casual feel to your celebration. Such as designs that use Christmas as their theme. There are some great wedding invites that use holly leaves and berries as their decoration.

For a more sophisticated feel choose wedding invites that are decorated with diamantes or silver or white ribbon. For more sophisticated feel keep the colours subdued and avoid extreme colour contrasts. White with silver creates a classic feel. Alternatively, chose designs that use pearls or lace to embellish the wedding invitation.

Another option is photographic wedding invitations. Snowy winter scenes can decorate the front of the card or maybe choose your own photo. You might have a photo of yourselves walking in the snow or on a skiing holiday. Many create your own wedding invites are available where you can upload your own photo for printing on the front of the card.

To compliment the invites you might want to think about lined envelopes. Many colours and styles are available from plain to patterned. For a winter wedding invite I recommend choosing red, green, blue or silver lined.

Here are some theme ideas:

Icicles
Snow
Snowflakes
Ice
Cold
Blue
Silver
White

Or for a Christmas feel:

Warm, Deep Reds
Fires
Holly Berries
Holly Leaves
Dark Greens

You might want to extend the theme to the rest of your wedding preparations. Place silver or blue confetti on your reception tables. Alternatively use scatter crystals. Choose white flowers, maybe white roses with diamantes placed in the centre. Place blue candles on the tables. Use place cards decorated with a snowflake design. Write your guests names on the cards with a silver marker.
