Wedding Stationery – An A to Z

Accessories – Coordinate your wedding stationery with matching accessories.

Bespoke – If you looking for something a bit different or something unique consider getting a wedding stationer to create a new design just for you.

Couple – You should purchase your wedding stationery as a couple, so both of you are happy with the choice.

Deadline – Make sure you allow enough time for your stationery to printed. Last minute orders can be expensive (printers normally charge a premium for rush jobs) and stressful.

Evening Invitations – These are sent to your friends and family who you would like to attend the evening reception only.

Favours – Why not colour coordinate your wedding reception stationery such as place cards and menus with your wedding favours?

Guests – Consider your guests when writing your invitations. Is there anything they need to know? Such as parking restrictions at the venue or a specific dress code.

Help – It can be a big job complying the guest list, writing and sending invites. Get friends and family to help you out.

Information Cards – These can be sent with your wedding invitations. They can contain extra information such as directions and a gift list.

Jewel – For sparkly invites decorate your stationery with jewels. Think diamante stickers in varying colours to add that special something to your wedding cards.

Keepsakes – Why not keep a some of your wedding stationery as keepsake. Perhaps frame it or put it in an album along with some photos.

Love – Love your wedding invitations as much as you love the rest of your wedding. Your wedding invitations should be personal to you and say something about you as a couple. Wedding invitations shouldn’t be left to the last minute.

Menus – Menus contain the courses of the wedding breakfast along with any speeches and toasts that are to take place. One or two can be placed on each table or if you prefer you can have one for each guest.

New – Don’t want something traditional? Then go for a new style of wedding invitation. A design with bold and bright colours and patterns.

Orders of Service – These are used to guide your guests through the wedding ceremony. They include hymns and readings.

Place Cards – Placed on tables to help direct your guests to their seats.

Questions – If your not sure just ask. If you have never been involved in a wedding before its not surprising that you are unfamiliar with how it all works.

Reply Cards – Sent with your wedding invitations to help encourage your guests to reply to your invitation.

Save the Date – An early reminder to guests to “save the day” or “keep the day” free. Great if you are getting married during holiday season.

Thank You Cards – These are sent after your wedding to your guests to thank for their attendance and any gifts received.

Unique – If you want something unique, consider caricature or photo invitations.

Venue – Remember to include venue information on with your invites. You might want to consider supplying a map or written directions in the envelope.

Wedding Invitations – These are sent to guests who you would like to attend your ceremony and wedding breakfast.

Xxx – For informal weddings finish your invitation with kisses. For formal celebration leave them off.

You – This is you and your partner’s wedding. Don’t feel pressured into making a decision because it is what family and friends want.

Zzzz – Sleep on it. Don’t make a rash decision when choosing your stationery. Consider it carefully, remember to order samples and consult several suppliers. This way you are sure to get the right wedding stationery at the right price.
