Handmade Wedding Invitations – A More Personal Touch

Handmade wedding invitations provide a more personal feel to your wedding stationery. Most handmade wedding invitations come in a variety of colour choices unlike their printed counterparts. Also due to their hand crafted nature slight variations occur in each card which gives the cards a human touch.

Many hand crafted designs use embellishments such as flowers, feathers, beads, ribbons and buckles. These types of embellishments aren’t commonly found on printed designs. Some stationers will also source specific decorations and ribbons colours for you, if requested.

The wording inside the cards can normally be personalised, many will allow you to provide your own wording. Also a selection of typefaces and ink colours are usually available.

Designs

Modern hand created invites encompass all styles from fun and funky to sophisticated luxury cards. Foiled, pearlised and embossed card stock and paper is also available for your stationer to utilise.

Time-scales

You should be prepared to wait a little longer for handmade designs. Most stationers quote around 3 to 6 weeks for delivery. However, some stationers will provide an express service if your cards are needed quicker.

Price

Prices vary from supplier to supplier. However, as a general rule of thumb, the more embellishments the wedding cards have the more expensive they become. If you are on a budget choose simpler flat postcard style designs.

Choice

For the widest choice of wedding stationery take a look online. Many stationers have embraced the internet for selling their cards as it provides the perfect format. What ever you are looking for there is bound to be something to suit.
