Example Order of Service

This is an example layout of an Order of Service. An Order of Service is used in religious weddings as a program of the ceremony. For non-religious ceremonies you may wish to use an Order of the Day.

Orders of service which require more than 4 printed pages (1 folded insert, printed on 4 sides) may incur an extra charge. Orders will be quoted at the time of proofing (once the order of service has been type set). This is so the printer can confirm exactly how many pages are required. You will then be sent an invoice for the extra pages, if you are unhappy with the quote you may cancel the order.

Typeface

Only the first page of the Order of Service will be printed in your choosen font. This is the page which contains your names and venue. Due to the printing process used it is not possible to have raised ink on an Order of Service. Please note that the inserts for Orders of Service will be printed in flat black ink.

Hymns

We have compiled a list of the most popular hymns. This means when ordering you just specify the corresponding reference number rather than typing the full hymn out. Please see the hymns page for our full list.

You may find it helpful to discuss with your vicar the type of hymns and other information you require for the service.

Ordering

Once you have placed your order we kindly request that you forward your Order of Service layout to us via email at sales@love2print.co.uk .

Bridal March ........ "Lohengrin" Wagner
Hymn - Jerusalem

And did those feet in ancient time
walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
on England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the countenance divine
shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O Clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
till we have built Jerusalem
in England's green and pleasant land"

Jesu' Joy of Man's Desiring - Bach

Hymn - Lord Divine all Loves Excelling

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven, to earth come down,
Fix in us thy humble dwelling,
All thy faithful mercies crown.
Jesu, thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love thou art;
Visit us with thy salvation, Enter every trembling heart.Come, almighty to deliver,
Let us all thy grace receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Never more thy temple leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve thee as thy hosts above;
Pray, and praise thee, without ceasing,
Glory in thy perfect love.
Finish then thy new creation:
Pure and spotless let us be;
Let us see thy great salvation,
Perfectly restored in thee;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
